Lately I’ve been contemplating the concept of religion and the environment. Traditionally in North America religion falls into the conservative right and environmentalist fall into the liberal left. But this really doesn’t make sense and these definitions are not healthy to us as people and to our God made environment. Protecting the environment, caring about the outdoors, and protecting wild animals should be on every believer’s agenda.

It’s not only the religious right that needs a paradigm shift, but also the liberal left. Even though the two sides may disagree on concepts of business, taxes, and government size they both should agree on protecting what God has given us and stop fighting simply for the sake of fighting. This is more than a college football rivalry. It’s our future.
