Everyone is familiar with the line “I’ve got my Hush Puppies on; I guess I was never meant for glitter rock and roll” from Jimmy Buffett’s 1974 song “Come Monday”.
It’s a great line in music history, but there was also another version (what I believe to be the original version) that went “I’ve got my hiking shoes on.”
I prefer the original line.
Just a fun little fact for my hiking friends.
