If you’re looking for hiking gifts consider custom made hiking sticks.  Wood artist Clay Perry resides in rural Georgia and is the owner of Crickhollow Studios where he spends his time creating unique works of art, one of which is beautiful hiking sticks. In a time when hikers have access to dozens of machine made items it’s good to be reminded that we often seek nature to get away from the overproduced world, and hiking sticks created from real wood using old world craftsmanship connect the hiker to a simpler time when art and nature were one.

I’ve followed Clay Perry’s blog and admired his work for some time.  Now I’m happy to share it with you.  These sticks are a great idea for Fathers Day or as a special gift for anyone that enjoys a good walk or hike.

Hiking Stick Info:
Hiking stick sizes vary from 36″ to 63″ but any size can be made as custom orders are welcome. Right now Clay is working on a series of poplar sticks. Prices vary from $30 to $60 depending on how long it takes to complete a piece.
