			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You can try every diet in the book and you won’t lose as much weight as you can with exercise.  But going to the gym can quickly become boring.  Why do you think gyms try to lock people into long term contracts?  It’s because they know that most will work out for a few months and quit.  If you want a way to lose weight that is fun start hiking.  Not everyone has great trails nearby but they do have roads and parks.  To keep motivated you can use your roads and parks to train for a big hike.  With your eye on a goal of hiking to the top of <a href="http://www.geckotales.com/whitney.htm" title="mt. whitney">Mt. Whitney</a> or looping Mt. Rainier you will enjoy your daily walks more. </p>
<p>The link below goes to a newspaper article about a man from Maine that will soon hike to the top of a mountain 100 times.  He’s already lost 40 pounds and is probably on track to lose more.  If you want a fun way to lose weight plan a big hike six months from now and start training.  Your body and your soul will thank you.</p>
